I am blown away by the generosity and outpourings

of love and support I have gotten with my emergency

roof damage. Not only from my own subs and friends,

but also from the owners of programs I am an affiliate

for and those who I am a customer of. There are no

words adequate to say how much you all have meant

to me, before, during and after my announcement

in the last issue but I will try my best to somehow

make the appreciation at least KNOWN.

If you missed the last issue, you are invited to

go see the web site my best friend and partner,

Sharon, made to tell our net world about my situation

and if you want to help, please spread the word to

any forums, groups, etc. where it might be appropriate.

http://www.janronmedia.com/firesale/

We are under way now amassing the supplies to

RAISE THE ROOF!

:-)  update right before sending:

I now have the funds to buy the supplies, thanks

to the generous donations and firesale package

sales. Since I myself cannot do the labor, we

are in stage two of the disaster dilemma, being

able to pay for LABOR to do the work. By buying

the roofing materials myself it will save at least

50% on what a contractor would charge for the same

supplies but some will not do the work if you are

supplying the stuff and they do not get to do the

usual markup. It would be terrible to have the

materials in reach now and still not be able to

get done what this whole fund-raiser was about.

This weekend we are supposed to be hit with

single digit temps and snow and it is raining

as I send this and leaking in my kitchen,

bathroom and bedroom.  Please spread the word.

Effectively Using Yahoo To Get Website Visitors

Overture, taken over by Yahoo, was the original inventor

of the use of the Pay for Performance traffic. They saw

that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most

convenient way to shop, and that advertising was going

to hit an all time high because of the many businesses

in this arena.

To get a visitor to your site requires your site to be

very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential

consumers and custumers to your site can only increase

traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that

can put your ad in their sites that can be shown when

certain keywords are used in the search.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their

traffic by using their services. With more people being

aware of your site, there would be more traffic and

visitors to your site so that they can view your pages

and see your products. With even a small percentage of

successful sales this could still be a substantial

figure for your company.

Getting a consistent and substantial flow of visitors

to your web site is every company’s goal. Many methods

are devised and utilized to ensure that you get shoppers

to your sites and to see your products. Website visitors

are potentially the life blood of your internet based

business.

Yahoo utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords.

In fact, they are very similar to each other ---

they use keyword and keyword phrase searches to determine

which ads to show per search. When a person types in a

keyword or keyword phrase the search engines gives out

the results in a page. At the right side of the page,

you will see selected ads that have paid for to be

viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

Let's say, for example, you run a software digital software

web site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger

your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is

searched. When a search engine user types in affiliate

software, your ad may come up if you have designated that

as one of your keywords.

With optomized search phrases, you get the chance to be

on the top of the list or at least in the first page of

a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on.

With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to

your site a lot faster.

It does take at least a small investment. There are

different ways you can set up your Yahoo ad account.

Charges may be set up on the number of Keywords or

Keyword phrases your ad uses or on how many times

your ad is clicked on. There are other services like

having your ad show up not only in the search engine

pages but also with some third party sites.

Third party sites support ads that have the same theme

or niche as them. With the more areas your ad is shown in,

you increase the chances of people knowing about your site

or product. With more website visitors you increase the

sales of your site which makes your investment with your

ads a wise one.

With so much competition in internet based businesses,

it is necessary to differentiate your site from the pack

by advertising. Yahoo will be a great place to start.

Many have used their services and have reaped the rewards

of this decision. It’s a marketing strategy that will

increase your website visitors as well as increase your

sales resulting to profit.

It takes money to make money. While there are good

methods that are low cost or even free, using a

marketing service such as what Yahoo offers will

provide results faster and on a larger scale.

Many businesses have learned this the hard way,

don’t be counted with them.

Feedback

Thanks, Jan.

I will send an ad this weekend. I'm not in the IM market

but have something that will be useful to your subscribers.

Rim Digest was the first newsletter that I signed up for

and I have never unsubscribed as it is very useful.

I also have had a "failed" business but it was probably the

best thing that ever happened (not financially but growth

wise).  I hope enough people respond so that you can fix

your roof and pad the bank account a bit as worrying

about money makes for long sleepless nights.

Jerry

>thanks SO much, Jerry, your message has really made my day!

May I please use your feedback in the next issue, that is

awesome and I am smiling my head off! Was going to write

you anyway,Sharon added some more things to the downloads

page and I did not want you to miss them, and you have NO

idea how your message has warmed my heart.

thank you!

Dear Jan,

"You've got cash!" :-)

Just send you a payment by PayPal - which I know is too

little comparing to all the help you've done

wholeheartedly for us Rimmers.  :-)

Yes, "let's show Jan how many fans she has around the

world!"

Because I've always felt a lot of respect for you - the

way you deeply care about your Rimmers and really want

to help them, unlike most newsletter publishers who are

just after making more money from their list.

If we had more people like you in this world, Jan,

it would be a much greater place to live.

Thanks for being YOU. :-)

Have a splendid day!

Ladan

>thanks so much, Ladan and hopefully you got my message

earlier for you and Edmond. It is caring people like YOU

that make me love what I do and yes, I really do love

my subs, way beyond any money I might ever make or in

this case, make or have donated. I really did have a

hard time asking for help but sometimes we just have

to grit our teeth and let people know that we ARE

human and fallible and not is all as rosy as we try

to make it appear to be.

You and Edmond are very much appreciated and I am so

glad to count you as one of my beloved *rimmers*!
