It is coming up on a year already that my ex and I split up.

The worst anniversary, to me, will be in November, when it

will be a year since my beloved adopted Dad, Charlie, passed

away. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him and miss

him. Can't say that about the ex, lol.

On a sad note, our Momma Dog, Muffin, 11 months old, who had

the seven puppies 5 weeks ago, passed away. It was quite a

shock to come home and find her that way when I was, instead,

expecting to start giving away puppies. She had had worms and

we were told by the vet and the wormer directions NOT to use

it while she was nursing pups so had weaned them to puppy

chow and bowls of milk and all were doing well. Ironically,

Tuesday, the day she died, was the day I was going to start

the wormer. On a good note, all the pups are just fine and

one has already been lovingly adopted. We had plsnned on

keeping one puppy and, of course, Muffin, now we will keep two.

Evaulating Web Site Performance

Setting up a website is the very first step of an Internet

marketing campaign, and the success or failure of your site

depends greatly on how specifically you have defined your

website goals. If you don't know what you want your site to

accomplish, it will most likely fail to accomplish

anything. Without goals to guide you in developing and

monitoring your website, all your site will be is an online

announcement that you are in business.

If you expect your site to stimulate some form of action,

whether it is visitors filling out a form so a

representative can contact them, or purchasing a product,

there are steps you can take to insure that your website is

functioning at peak efficiency. One of the first indicators

of how well your site is working for you is finding out the

number of visitors in a given period of time. A good

baseline measurement is a month in which you haven't been

doing any unusual offline promotional activities.

However, just because hoards of people have passed through

your gates does not mean your site is successful. Usually,

you want those visitors to actually do something there. It

is equally important to monitor the number of visitors to

your site who made a purchase. This figure is called the

site conversion rate, and it is an essential element of the

efficacy of your website.

To find the site conversion rate, take the number of

visitors per month and figure out the percentage of them

that actually performed the action your site is set up for.

For example, if you had 2,000 hits to your site, but only

25 of them purchased your product, your site conversion

rate equals 1.25%. To get this figure, take your number of

visitors and divide that figure by the number of visitors

who made a purchase. Then divide that result by 100

(25 ?00 X 100).

If your website is set-up to get visitors to fill out a

form, make sure to then figure out what the difference is

between your site conversion rate and your sales conversion

rate. This is because not everyone who fills out your form

will actually become your customer. However, whether your

site is set-up to sell a service or product, or to get the

visitor to fill out a form, the site conversion rate will

measure the success or failure of your website whenever you

make changes to the site.

You may find that you need to implement some additional

marketing strategies if you find that traffic to your site

is extremely low. There are several effective methods to

improve the flow of traffic to your website, particularly

launching a search engine optimization campaign. This

campaign is targeted at increasing your position in search

engine results so that consumers can find your pages faster

and easier. You can either research the steps you need to

take to improve your search engine rankings, or employ a

search engine optimization company to do the work for you.

In either case, after your have improved your search engine

positions, make sure you keep on top of them by regular

monitoring and adjusting of your efforts to maintain high

positions.

Another factor to examine is how easy it is for a visitor

to your website to accomplish the action the site is set-up

for. For example, if your goal is for the visitor to fill

out a form, is this form easily accessible, or does the

visitor have to go through four levels to get to it? If

it's too difficult to get to, the customer may just throw

in the towel and move on to another site. Make sure your

buttons are highly visible, and the path to your form or

ordering page quickly accessible.

Finally, have a professional evaluate the copy on your

website. The goal is, of course, to get your visitor to

make a purchase or fill out your form. Website copy must be

specifically geared to your online campaign and not just a

cut and paste job from your company brochure. The right

copy can make the difference between profit and loss in

your online campaign.

Your Odds Are Better To Hit The Lottery!

by Dave MacNeil

It's true, I see it everywhere. Millions of people are all

trying to get rich on the Internet. Can you blame them?

It's so easy. All that you need is a website and Bam...

You are on your way to riches!

I wish it were that simple, but in fact, it is harder to make

money from the internet than it is to take a second job and earn the extra money

that you desire. Your odds are better at hitting

the next Mega-Millions Lottery than they are to become the next

Internet Millionaire. Sorry to burst your bubble but it's true.

I think it's about time someone told you the truth. You are not

going to become an Internet Millionaire. I hope I did not burst

your bubble but I am feed up with all of the B.S. that I see

spread all over the net. You know what I am talking about, I am

making 100 millionaires this year, etc.

The truth is 99% of you trying to make money from the internet

are actually going to lose money ...Yes I said lose money. You

are probably already there ...Take a good look at what you are

doing, you have invested in program after program and yet what

do you have to show for it? ...Credit card bills.

I know how frustrating it can be ...I was there myself. For over

5 years I tried everything I could think of, every program,

prelaunch, ebook, you name it. All I had to show for my efforts

was credit card bills. I just knew that the next one I joined

would be the one to make me the next Mike Fillsame ...but it

never happened ...and It Won't.

Am I a Guru now? No I am not ...I am simply a guy with the dream

that has worked his butt of to try and make it on the net. Am I

rich? No, but I made enough this year to take my family to

Disney World for a week (We Returned last night as a matter of

fact). I would have never earned enough at my real job to take

my family to Disney and stay at a top hotel ...I needed the

Internet to help us get there ...and Boy was it worth it.

There is money to be made from the Internet, but it is not

going to be millions! Don't Fool yourself - I do not want

to see you follow the path that thousands of others are

following ...If you are dreaming of being a millionaire,

then I suggest you start playing Mega-millions Lottery,

you have a better chance for success!

If you are looking to help increase your standard of living

and take your family on a nice vacation every year you may

be able to do so but it is going to be alot of work. It will

be like having a second job because make money on the internet

is a job. Period - it is a full-time JOB.

It can be done but be prepared to work. There is no

get-rich-quick magic formula. Get it out of your head, it will

not happen for you. If you are serious about increasing your

standard of living or taking a nice vacation every year, well

that is possible with effort.

You need to find a solid steady program ...stick to it.

Do not jump around from program to program and work. Better

yet, you need your own product to sell ...period.

I hope I did not upset you and shatter your dreams; but I

want you to know the reality of the Internet. You have a

Better Shot at Hitting The Lottery than becoming the next

Internet Millionaire. If you are dreaming of the Millions

then I suggest you take the money you are losing on the

internet now and dumping it all into the lottery ...Your

odds are better ...Good Luck!

If you simply want a better lifestyle, well that might happen

with a ton of work and a proven plan to follow. It can be done

but I will not promise you anything ... It is all up to you now

how hard you are willing to work. Let go of the dream and reach

for something that is attainable!

Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year

and every year Morris would say, "Esther, I'd like to ride in

that helicopter".

Esther always replied, "I know Morris, but that helicopter

ride is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dollars".

One year Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said,

"Esther, I'm 85 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter,

I might never get another chance."

Esther replied, "Morris that helicopter is 50 dollars

and 50 dollars is 50 dollars".

The pilot overheard the couple and said, "Folks I'll make you

a deal. I'll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay

quiet for the entire ride and not say a word I won't charge you!

But if you say one word, it's 50 dollars." Morris and Esther

agreed and up they went.

The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word

was heard. He did his daredevil tricks over and over again,

but still not a word.

When they landed, the pilot turned to Morris and said,

"By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out,

but you didn't. I'm impressed!"

Morris replied, "Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said

something when Esther fell out, but you know -- 50 dollars

is 50 dollars."

LOL, thanks, Kent :-0
