We had
a terrible scare with my 4 week old grandson,
Brayden.
First, he was mis-diagnosed to have strep
throat
and then was given medication that, though
good
for babies was not in the right formulation
for
NEWBORNS. He stopped breathing, had to have
CPR
done on him - all to find out that he could
not
swallow the medicine in the form it was given
to him
- whew! - needless to say I almost needed
the
EMTs myself when I heard about the CPR, etc.
and
there are no words to express the relief and
later
anger at the doctor who ASSUMED since the
baby's
cousins also living in his house DID have
strep
throat that Brayden did and then not
informing
his Mommy that newborns needed a special
dropper,
not the one in the bottle of the prescribed
medicine.
All is well now, I am so happy to report.
Have
uploaded a pic of Grandma and Brayden:
I got
quite a bit of interest in my idea to offer
an
editing service and checked the prices of those
who do
this and was, frankly, shocked- guess I am
far
more *cheap* than even I feared, lol- I do not
see how
any starting small web page builder or
budding
writer could AFFORD these services, judging
by the
pricing boundaries I was able to find.
My idea
is to make a steady income doing something
I love
as much as I love doing this ezine- and there
is
nothing I love doing more than reading, except,
of
course, holding and loving my grand kids. I think
I can
fairly and happily under-charge the *norm*
for
this service and still HELP those who cannot
afford
the bigger professional services and hope
to
slowly build a steady, loyal stream of customers
and
referrals by doing so. It has never been my
intent
to be a six figure earner or an instant
millionaire,
all I have ever wanted was to get to
"a
dollar over comfortable" and be able to enjoy
life
without the worry of reposessions, foreclosures
or
things getting shut off for non-payment.
I also,
once again, have to admit to the world and
my subs
( family #2 ) that I am not "making it" at
this
time and the way things are now. Thus, I have
started
gathering the paperwork needed for the
bankruptcy
lawyer I have retained and feel, though
it
saddens me to do so, admitting I can NOT make it
does
not make me the failure I was afraid earlier
on I
would be. Since my split with the EX and the
death
of my Charlie-Dad, the economy, gas prices,
etc. I
realize it is time to *throw in the towel*,
so to
speak, and get a clean new slate.
If
anyone has had to do this in the past and has
any
tips or advice, please feel free to contact
me at
the ezine address or jantd@charter.net

How to
sell Products on eBay
eBay is
the world's largest online auction site,
and it
is host to many thousands of online retailers
who
make either a part or full time living from their
eBay
businesses. Getting started with eBay is simple
enough,
and eBay has the advantage of having the traffic
already
built in. As with any other site, the first step
is to
register and open an account. If you are planning
on
using eBay seriously, then you will need two accounts
eventually.
This is because you never want to buy through
your
main selling account. If you have a dispute with the
seller,
and have to leave negative feedback, the seller
may
well leave retaliatory negative feedback for you.
If you
have bought through your selling account, that
is
where the negative feedback will end up.
When
you are starting, it pays to buy a few cheap items
through
your selling account, and leave positive feedback
for the
people you have bought from. If they reciprocate,
you
will at least have some positive feedback when you
come to
start selling. From that point on, you should
never
again buy through your selling eBay account.
Once
you are registered on eBay, and have set up your
PayPal
account if you have not done so already, you
can
begin listing items immediately. The eBay site
has
very comprehensive instructions for every part
of the
process.
The one
piece of hardware you can't really manage
without
is a digital camera. Tests have proven
beyond
any doubt that listings with a photograph
do far
better than ones without. The only possible
exception
to this would be if you were selling
information
products, where you could take a screen
shot of
the info product and use that as a photograph.
Assuming
you have a digital camera, you will then need
to
source stock to sell, and also packing materials.
Packing
items well yet still being cheap on shipping
charges
is one good way of getting happy customers,
who
will hopefully become repeat customers.

Personal
Development Affiliate Programs:
How to Make Money Helping People
Making
money is one thing, but making money selling
something
that actually helps people is another; in
fact it
is quite more rewarding. Personal development
affiliate
programs can help you do just that.
Personal
development can best be described as striving
to
achieve one’s personal best in life. I’m sure you
want to
do better in life; in some aspects, so do most
people.
A lot of people don’t have the right tools,
systems,
or training to guide them in their quest
for a
better lifestyle.
This is
where you come in. If you truly enjoy helping
people
become their best and helping them change their
lives,
then a personal development affiliate program
may be
what you need to help you help other people
change
their mindset while earning a handsome income.
Affiliate
programs allow you to sell products and receive
a
percentage of the profits. So you’re basically spending
your
time, money and effort to promote products in exchange
for a
commission check. Most of the affiliate programs on
the
Internet are geared towards people who have a list
or know
how to drive a lot of traffic to a website.
If you
don’t have an established list to market the products
to or
if you don’t know how to market, it will become very
difficult
to make a substantial income in affiliate
marketing.
However, having continuity built into
the
products
themselves helps keeps your commission checks
coming
in regularly if you’re able to get the ball rolling.
Continuity
is when one sale of a product induces other
sales
of upgraded products without you doing any extra
effort.
When
you’re looking for personal development
affiliate
programs,
you want to make sure they offer real valuable
products.
You want to also see if the affiliate program
offers
marketing tips on how to best sell the products.
To have
a long career selling these types of products, you
may
want to try the products themselves and see what effects
they
have on you. You can be your best testimonial as you
tell
people your story of how the products worked for you.
Once
you decide upon which personal development affiliate
programs
you wish to promote, you may want to start learning
how to
set up your marketing funnel in order to make it work
better
for you so you can start making a liveable income
for all
your efforts spent, while providing products that
enrich
people’s lives.
