What
has happened to June? I blinked and it is almost gone.
Weather
here has been pretty yucky, either severe storms
and
flood watches or hitting 100 degrees or right below
it and
so muggy it is like a warm splash of water in your
face
every time I step outside. I do NOT look forward to
winter
and the ridiculous heat bills but I sure DO look
forward
to fall and here it just turned summer!

Recipe
for Success
by Jan
Tallent
You
already have the desire to build a business.
Do you
also have the drive that will make it happen?
Remind
yourself every time you get discouraged of your
goal
and the fact that once you achieve it, all will
be
worth it. You will have to mix in some stubborness
quite
often, both toward those who will belittle your
efforts
and your biggest critic, who will be YOU.
Give
yourself a reasonable amount of time to accomplish
this
building of your business! If 90% of all wanna-be
marketers
give up in the first 90 days that should tell
you
that they did not give themselves a reasonable enough
amount
of time to get there. I hear from many who expect
to be
making as much as on their day *job* within 2 or 3
months
and give up if they do not make it by then.
It is a
business just like any other and it all
takes
TIME!
We have
so many advantages in a 'net business that
are not
there with a brick and mortar one: no rent
to pay,
no extra utilities, etc. plus so many online
businesses
can be run with no inventory to stock
or even
products to buy.
It
takes a "real world" business about 5 years to get
to
profit mode and it will be much sooner than that
with an
online business, so be reasonable with your
expectations
and you can make it happen.
I would
say give it a year, at least, to be sure
you are
dedicated, able and can do it.
Perserverence
will be a full time job when you first
start
building your online business. The old saying
"Practice
makes perfect" is only true if you are doing
it
right when you practice, but if you really want to
make it
and believe in yourself and do not give up,
you
WILL!
You
will have to be firm but still flexible.
You
need to focus on your goals, keep working at your
promotion
and advertising agenda but be ready to try
new
things or different versions of old things until
you hit
on the perfect formula for YOU and then work
it like
nothing else you have ever done. Once you
start
nearing your goal, do not allow yourself to
slack
off and lose ground, keep at it like a dog
with a
favorite bone.
If you
take these ingredients and mix well, you will
BE a
success. I know, I have done it and so can YOU!
Just
believe in yourself and instead of saying
"I
might be able to" or "I probrably can" remind
yourself
that you WILL!

POSITIVE
QUOTE OF THE DAY
-----------------------------
The
people with whom you work reflect your own attitude.
If you
are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you
will
find these unlovely traits echoed all about you.
But if
you are on your best behavior, you will bring out
the
best in the persons with whom you are going to spend
most of
your waking hours.

true
warning about Microwaving Water!
A
26-year old man decided to have a cup of coffee.
He took
a cup of water and put it in the microwave
to heat
it up (something that he had done numerous
times
before). I am not sure how long he set the timer
for,
but he wanted to bring the water to a boil.
When
the timer shut the oven off, he removed the cup
from
the oven. As he looked into the cup, he noted
that
the water was not boiling, but suddenly the water
in the
cup "blew up" into his face. The cup remained
intact
until he threw it out of his hand, but all
the
water had flown out into his face due to the
build
up of energy. His whole face is blistered
and he
has 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face
which
may leave scarring.
He also
may have lost partial sight in his left eye.
While
at the hospital, the doctor who was attending
to him
stated that this is a fairly common occurrence
and
water (alone) should never be heated in a microwave
oven.
If water is heated in this manner, something
should
be placed in the cup to diffuse the energy
such as
a wooden stir stick, tea bag, etc.,
(nothing
metal).
It is
however a much safer choice to boil
the
water in a tea kettle.
