Finally
got my weekend with Princess Madison,
from
late Friday night until Monday evening.
With my
own *baby* turning 16 in August, I
must
admit I conveniently "forgot" what the
terrible
two's were really like but, believe
me, I
sure got a refresher course, lol.
I have
noticed more and more typos and grammar
uhohs
on web sites I have been visiting so have
decided
to put one of my few skills to work for
me and
am going to offer editing services.
Of
course I usually miss MY OWN but even at
tech
school was everyone elses' spell checker
and the
diner down the street always has me
advise
or correct when they are spelling a
new

How to
write high quality bullet points
The
bullet points are a vital part of any sales letter.
In doing
research on affiliate sites such as Clickbank
and
PayDotCom, you will have noticed that every sales
letter
has listed points of the crucial benefits of
the
product. The key to writing high quality bullet
points
is to give them impact. Keep them short and to
the
point. It is very easy to write bullets as you
would
write sentences in a normal paragraph. Although
this is
a workable approach to writing bullets, your
results
will be much better with proper short bullet
points.
These
bullet points must emphasize the benefit to the
reader
of each feature of the product. One of the most
common
mistakes of rookie copywriters is that they use
bullet
points to list features of the product they are
selling.
This will not work anywhere near as well as
emphasizing
benefits. In the end, the reader only cares
about
the features of your product, to the extent that
those
features can make a difference in his life. It is
a good
idea to write a bullet point in two “thrusts”,
the first
telling you of the feature, and then the
second
hammering home the benefit.
Bullet
points do need a degree of hype. I am not
suggesting
here that you make exaggerated or false
claims
about your product, although of course many
people
do. What you need to do is bring every
positive
benefit you can find about your product
right
to the fore. Bullets are created to overwhelm
the
prospect, and instil a great sense of desire.
Statistics
have shown time and again that hype sells.
As long
as you have a quality product that can live
up to
your claims, never be shy of pushing your claims
to the
limit. Timid sales letters just don't get results.
Everybody
says they are sick of hype, but even in the
over-commercialized
environment of today it is still
getting
results.

How to
make a powerful “money back guarantee” statement.
Guarantees
are powerful, and the better you can make
the
guarantee, the more impact it will have. If you
are
selling through a network such as Clickbank,
then of
course you have no choice as to the form
the guarantee
will take, as Clickbank only accepts
products
which adhere to its uniform guarantee policy.
If you
are not listing with a network, you can choose
your
own policy, and evidence suggests that a longer
guarantee
period is more effective. Although you
increase
the risk of someone refunding on the purchase,
evidence
shows that this is outweighed by the increased
number
of sales you will make by having the stronger
guarantee.
Another
very common feature of internet sales letter
guarantees
is that the reader is allowed to keep the
bonuses
even if they refund on the main product. This
is a
carry over from the days of direct mail marketing,
where
of course the buyer had to actually physically
return
the product in unblemished condition to receive
the
refund. With internet marketing, that can't happen,
and
although there are ways of password protecting
and
then disabling ebooks, or turning off access to
.exe
ebooks, most vendors say these measures are
counter
productive. If the buyer wants to cheat the
seller,
they can always copy the content before asking
for the
refund.
Most
sales letter guarantees follow a pretty standard
formula,
which has proven successful over many years.
You
will typically see phrases such as “try it at my
risk”, which
have proven effective in overcoming the
natural
skepticism of the prospect. Given the extreme
commercialization
of our modern society, and the
prevalence
of scams, the modern consumer has become
very
wary. If you can allay some of those fears by
making
it clear that the risk is yours, then you will
go a
long towards winning the sale. You have to pre sell
yourself
as an honest merchant before you can sell your
product.
