Free Ways to Find the Perfect Design for Your Newsletter
by
Ladan Lashkari
Did you
know that your newsletter design has such a big
impact
on your newsletter success that it can both kill your
readership
or attract more and more readers every time you
send a
new issue?
Yes,
that's a fact.
The
good news is you don't have to come up with a newsletter
design
from scratch. You can easily save yourself a lot of
time by
finding a ready-made newsletter template or design
that
you like and use it for your newsletter.
Actually
finding the perfect design for your newsletter can
be very
easy when you know where to look. Here are 3 helpful
tips...
--------------------------------------------------
Tip #1:
Take a Look at Your Favorite Newsletters
--------------------------------------------------
You're
most probably a subscriber to a number of good
newsletters
that you usually read and enjoy. So simply see
which
one has a more professional look that you like. You can
get
great design ideas this way.
----------------------------------------
Tip #2:
Use Free Newsletter Templates
----------------------------------------
There
are some websites that offer free newsletter templates
for you
to use as your own newsletter design. The best part
is that
you can make any changes to these templates that you
wish,
so you can completely customize their look and feel.
You can
easily change their colors and styles, add your own
pictures,
and of course write your own newsletter content
into
them.
Just
imagine how much time it will save you. That's why
newsletter
templates are so popular.
--------------------------------------------------
Tip #3:
Check Out Professional Website Templates
--------------------------------------------------
Here's
another powerful technique that few people know
about...
You
see, there are millions of professional websites out
there
whose design will also look great for your newsletter.
So you
can simply use them for your newsletter.
How?
That's easy: These websites are in HTML, so is your
newsletter.
So with a little customization, that website
template
will turn into a newsletter template.
The
best thing is that the number of good, professional
"website"
designs is much more than "newsletter" designs, so
when
you look for website templates, you have a better chance
of
finding a great template for your newsletter.
This is
one of the powerful techniques that few people are
aware
of, so taking advantage of it will make you stand above
the
crowd.
--------------------
* Final
Thoughts
--------------------
There's
one last tip that will help you choose the perfect
design
for your newsletter...
Before
you look for a good newsletter design, it's important
that
you first decide which format you would like your
newsletter
to be in. You have these 3 options...
- Text
- HTML
- PDF
Text
templates are easier to create because you just need to
write
in plain text and send it out to your subscribers.
On the
other hand, text newsletters can't include any colors
or
pictures, so they look pretty boring to some people.
But if
you publish your newsletter in HTML, you can create a
more
exciting and interesting design for your newsletter to
attract
more readers. Also HTML newsletter templates are
easier
to find rather than text or PDF templates.
So ask
yourself if you prefer a faster newsletter format
(text),
or a more professional and attractive one (HTML).
To your
newsletter publishing success,

Funny
for the Week
IN A
VACUUM
A
blonde was playing Trivial Pursuit one night.
It was
her turn. She rolled the dice and she landed
on
Science &Nature. Her question was, "If you are in
a
vacuum and someone calls your name, can you hear it?"
She
thought for a time and then asked, "Is it on or off?"

Feedback
Hi Jan,
This is
related to Mary's comments about the "How Many
of
Me" website and how it could lead to identity theft.
What I
find even more disturbing is a website that my
son-in-law
recently told me about called zabasearch.com.
When
entering my name in the search, not only did it give
my home
address and phone number, it also included the
month
AND year of my birth.
In all
honesty, I must admit that through this website
my
husband located an Army buddy that he had lost contact
with
approx. 12 years ago and I myself found an uncle that
my
family has been trying to find for several years.
But
even with our good luck from using this search,
the
implications of what the website could be used
for
bothers me.

P.S. To
our surprise, my Uncle Dewey lives only
90
minutes away from me.

Hi Jan,
Thanks
for getting back to me - twice!
About
the broken links - you are quite welcome.
I meant
to get back to you earlier but it's been crazy here.
I'm
still not sure about the informing subscribers about
inhouse
and outside advertisers. It seems really silly.
Can't
remember the last time I turned on the radio or
opened
a magazine to find such a notice. Don't do TV
but I
imagine it's the same way :-)
Guess
I'm just getting tired of the lawyers micromanaging
my
life.
Thanks
again.
Glad I
could help.
Andy
