I do
not know whether anyone noticed, but there was
not an
issue last week. I have taken on a huge
transcription
job and yes, it seems I bit off way
more
than I could actually chew.
A one
hour audio takes actually six or so hours of
typing
to transcribe into a document. It might not
sound
like much, but, believe me, even with the hours
of
typing I do in average day, this is a LOT of straight
typing
- and, obviously, I cannot physically DO six
hours
or straight typing so each one has, so far,
taken
me a day - two hours of typing with no break
is
about my and my fingers' limit and then I have to
do
something else for an hour until my fingers, literally,
UNnumb
and can move again. This assignment is for
SEVEN
of these one hour shows, so 42 hours, at best,
to type
them up.
I had
finally started feeling like it was something
that I
must be doing wrong for these to actually
TAKE me
six hours but I caved and got a helper who
types
80 words per minute or better to my average
of 60
and it took her exactly six hours to do the
one she
did for me and then I still had to edit
it as
she was told to just type away and I would
edit
later. Lucky for me it was just the occasional
its and
it's and there, their and they're type
errors,
so she literally saved me FIVE hours on
one
transcription, but, understandably, did not
want to
do another one!
I had
tried to get the one per day done but this
just
did not work out and so, no issue last
Thursday.
Now, once I send this issue out, I will
be
right back to the audios and luckily, I am
halfway
done on each of the remaining two.
How did
that happen, you might ask, LOL!
Well, I
download each one as I get ready to do it
instead
of, like a brilliant person would have done,
downloading
all seven and working one at a time.
I
misfiled one I had downloaded, so started, say,
number
seven, got almost half way done with that
one and
as I was filing it for after "break", found
number
six, and was so TIRED when I started up again
the
next morning, I started ON number six so now
can go
back and forth or just finish one and then
the
other. The decision will be made as I send the
ezine
and go back to the client's folder.
They
are really interesting shows and I am loving
doing
them, well except for the falling out of my
chair
and my fingers falling off part, lol, so if
you are
a single parent due to a divorce,
especially,
but even if you are not, you might
enjoy

Clients You Have to Market

With
the economy the way it is right now, I have
noticed
a new trend. It's one of the reasons so
many
small businesses are failing.
It's
what I call the "Fear Factor".
The
"Fear Factor" is what some small businesses
and
self employed professionals feel when they
are
being told that no one is spending. When a
small
business has been affected by the "Fear Factor",
it
stops acting in abundance and starts acting in fear.
That
business stops spending, stops taking action,
stops
growing, stops marketing and stops attracting
clients.
This mindset undermines success.
The
fear caused by the "Fear Factor" isn't real.
It's
not that clients aren't willing to spend,
as
clients buy on value. If you're offering what
they
need, they are going to buy.
Think
about this . . .
What
happens when a small business doesn't market?
They
don't get clients. If a business isn't marketing,
they
are not attracting clients.
And,
what happens when a small business doesn't
get
clients? Money gets tight, really tight.
Some
companies even go out of business.
And
when money is tight, then what?
The
same small businesses pull back even further
on
their marketing, growing, spending and action
taking
so they slowly wither.
Clients
are out there, ACTIVELY SEARCHING for services
and
products like yours. If you're not getting yourself
out
there, and if you're not being seen because you're
not
marketing, those clients who are actively seeking
your
products and services are going to spend their
money
with your competition.
Right
now, in this market, some small businesses
are
growing rapidly and some are slowly dying.
It all
comes down to mindset and marketing.
Getting
your message in front of your ideal client
is the
way to get clients.
Are you
doing all the marketing you NEED
for
your business to be successful and
develop
a steady stream of clients?
If you
are, KUDOS to you!
If not,
it's time to make a plan
to get
more clients, so you can build
your business
and make more income.
Open up
your calendar and schedule time
to
create your marketing strategy and to
implement
your marketing tactics.
Do it
now.

was finally cleaning out this email address

had set up to use for my website and online

ventures and came across an email I had
