Tomorrow is a sad day for the USA, it is the 8th year

anniversary of the devastation and loss we refer to as

9/11. My thoughts and prayers go with all who were killed

or injured during this horrible set of actions AND to those

left behind who loved them.

I added the resume service back to my office tasks I perform

at Tallent Agency Virtual Assistance. I had stopped doing

them for awhile but as more people become unemployed OR

worried that they might be soon, it seemed time.

My latest news and tips, etc. are on my blog

How to Select a Domain Name

Selecting the right name for your website might very well be

the most important step you can take when starting your own

business. The name will tell people what you have to offer

and will help them decide if they are interested in looking

further.

There are several ways you can select your domain name to

bring in potential customers. If you are starting your first

web site you may feel overwhelmed by the many choices that you

have to make. Make yourself a list to help you get started.

First of all, you want to write down all the products

or services you will be offering. Determine what age

group or groups these products would appeal to the most.

After you determine these factors, choose a name that

will combine both the products and the age group to

create a successful domain name.

When you create your name you need to convince others to visit

your site by domain name marketing. How you market your domain

name may be through visiting sites that offer similar products

or to pay for an advertisement on another popular site.

The customers who visit the well established web site will see

your ad and hopefully click on it. Usually the ads are pretty

reasonable in cost but do some research to see who offers

the best deal.

You may also want to try email marketing. Sending emails

to everyone you know can increase your traffic to your

web site and increase your sales. Offer discounts for

every customer your friends bring to your site

as an incentive to visiting your store.

I have several domain names to reflect the various

businesses I run on the internet. All but the one

named after ME reflect the type of business and at least

a hint to what the products or services are.

http://www.tallentagency.com/ is, of course, my "name" and a hint

that this is a service business.

http://www.softwarewarrioress.com/ is, of course, a digital product site

http://www.downmemorylanetreasures.com/ is just what it says, gifts

from days past and harder to find items, like memorabilia

and out of print, classic movies, etc.

http://www.jtdhealth.com/ is my health related digital and business site.

To your success!

Freebie of the Day

Jan ...

Since your readers are interested in making money,

here's a FREEBIE that might just help them get started.

Back in the early 1970s, I published a monthly memo service

(the "Business Intelligence Network Monthly Memo") that

explained, in detail, how to do a small business from home.

Each of the businesses I wrote about were things I had

either done myself; or participated in with other "kids."

After the monthly memo was gone, I continued publishing

those little reports and selling them for $1 each.

I sold hundreds of thousands of them each year.

Some time back, I collected 17 of those reports and put them

together in a Special Report entitled, "Seventeen (17)

'Real' Home Based Businesses You Can Start & Operate From

Your Home." Complete, detailed plans. Little or No start-up

costs.

-- It's a great little seller at $10 - BUT ...

If your readers are REALLY interested in starting

a "real" home based business, they can have a copy

of it FREE--

Your readers can request a FREE copy at:

http://www.businesslyceum.com/freereport.html

You can't beat the price.
